Protecting your account

If you inadvertently overdraw your checking account, Dakota Star Federal Credit Union is here to protect you. It's called Overdraft Advance, and when funds are not available in your checking, we may elect to cover your overdrafts up to a $300.00 limit. We will save you the embarrassment and inconvenience of a returned check.

Should an overdraft occur, your account will be charged a fee for each item that is paid by the discretionary Overdraft Advance service. If you have any questions about Overdraft Advance, please call us at (605) 342-6442 or (800) 418-0369. Dakota Star Federal Credit Union does reserve the right to deny Overdraft Advance, and it is only available to members who are over the age of 18 and have had a checking account for at least 90 days.
