New Year New Dakota Star!!

We are going through a core software conversion. The new software will come online on March 2, 2024. Very
few things will be changing for you, our members. Here are a list of things that will stay the same.

  • Your savings and checking account number will stay the same.

  • Your direct deposits and electronic payments will post as normal.

  • Your checks will stay the same, the routing number is not changing.

  • Your debit card number will not change.

  • Your Logon ID for online banking and the mobile app will not change.

  • ****TWO big changes. Your loan number will now be a four digit number (####) instead of a letter. Currently you have Loan A, on the new system you will have Loan 1547 for example. Please bear with us as we work through this change! The second change is your savings will become a digit number instead of a letter, for example your A savings will be 01 and you B savings will be 03.****

The real change is happening for those who work at the credit union as we will have a new software platform to serve you better. Here a a list of new features that the new software will have.

  • CardHub - This will give you control over all of the features on your debit card. This will be in the mobile app.

  • Instant Issue Debit Cards - We will be able to get you a new debit card in our branches, no more waiting for a new card in the mail!

  • Audio banking - This will allow you to call in to do banking with the audio computer teller. Don’t worry, you will still be able to call us at our normal phone number to talk with a real person.

  • Bill Free - New bill pay system, this will be a free service, currently we charge a fee for it. In addition, Bill Free will show up in the mobile application, currently it is just limited to online banking through the browser.

  • VB LiveLink - This will be a live chat feature on our website and inside of online banking. This will let you talk to us virtually to help answer your questions online. There will also be a share screens option if you need more hands-on help from us.

  • VB Lending - This will be a new online loan application that feeds directly into our loan program. It will be a more robust application for you to get your information to us quicker, so we can make a decision for you quicker.

  • Credit Cards - We are switching processors on the back side, still no change to our cardholders, but we will get contactless cards and the ability to add your Dakota Star credit card to your mobile wallet.

Special note to our current bill pay users. The last day you will be able to process a payment on the old bill pay system will be February 28th, 2024. After that, you will need to enroll into the new bill pay system and re-set up your payees to pay your bills.
